Adobe ImageReady is a bitmap graphics editor which was first shipped with Adobe Photoshop by Adobe Systems. It was available on Windows and Mac OS X from platforms from 1998 to 2007.

To that end, ImageReady has specialized features such as creating animated GIF, image compression optimization, slicing and image rollover effects, and generation of HTML.

Adobe ImageReady Tutorials

With the release of Creative Suite 3, ImageReady was officially abandoned, and the reason is expected that since Adobe Fireworks now, they do not need ImageReady, and will continue to develop instead fireworks. There is some ImageReady-style feature CS3 found via File> Save for Web and devices.

The first versions of Adobe ImageReady can only generate codes focus on the table without providing the option to generate table using less code for CSS positioning. However, starting with Adobe ImageReady 7, Adobe provides the ability to generate CSS slices drawings. Although Adobe has implied fireworks that can replace the functionality of ImageReady, Fireworks can not work with slices of reversal and several states that have been generated with ImageReady. Thus, according to Adobe technical support [citation needed], the only option for any designer who has many projects to maintain that were created in ImageReady is to return to Photoshop CS2. There is no promise of a future solution.
